This spring, we were excited to join Biotope’s Spring ’25 Basecamp at the brand-new Wintercircus innovation hub in Ghent. The program brought together ten ambitious, science-driven startups from around the world, which are all working on solutions that push the boundaries in agriculture, biomaterials, and biotechnology.

Over the weeks, we worked side-by-side with inspiring founders from Belgium, the UK, Germany, the USA, Uruguay, and Brazil, sharing challenges, ideas, and new perspectives. The Basecamp sessions gave us valuable mentorship, practical feedback, and the space to sharpen both our technology and our business approach. Beyond what we learned, the real highlight was becoming part of a community that’s passionate about making a tangible, positive impact on the planet.

We’re leaving Ghent with new knowledge, stronger connections, and even more energy to take our work to the next level. The Biotope network will be an important part of our journey as we bring our biodegradable coatings to fields around the world.
